Home is a personal reflection of nostalgia and belonging. It is a compilation of videos I filmed during my summer visit to Ulan-Ude, Russia, in 2023. Set to Somewhere Only We Know by Keane, the film captures the quiet beauty of the place where I grew up, evoking the warmth and familiarity of home.
I filmed and edited the piece myself, blending the song with the original background sounds to preserve the authenticity of each moment. The pacing and color grading enhances the dreamlike yet intimate atmosphere, allowing viewers to feel the quiet pull of nostalgia. Home is not just about a place - It's about the emotions that stay with us, no matter how far we go.
In this self-initiated project, I took on the challenge of creating an advertisement for Deland Oaks Condominium, the place where I used to live. I wanted to showcase the peaceful and simple beauty of the location, highlighting its serene atmosphere and aesthetic charm. Additionally, I focused on featuring all the amenities to make the property more desirable to potential residents. This project allowed me to explore a new creative direction, blending my appreciation for the space with my skills in video production to capture its unique appeal.
As part of my internship with Adrenaline Films, I had the opportunity to work on a teaser for the new Jurassic World: VelociCoaster ride at Universal Studios in Orlando. Under the supervision of industry professionals, I blended exciting movie shots from Jurassic World (2015) with 3D animation of the ride itself to create an adrenaline-pumping teaser. My goal was to generate excitement and anticipation for the ride, capturing its thrilling elements and immersing viewers in the world of Jurassic World.
